Many of you know already that Revd Jo Burke, Assistant priest of All Saints with St Peters in Luton (07957 385691 / allsaintscurate@gmail.com) has been working to help Refugees in Luton.
She is particularly trying to help in two ways;
1) providing refugees with some non-religious books in different languages e.g. Arabic, Farsi, Russian, Syrian, Urdu, Kurdish Sorani, Somali, so they can read as they can’t get out of their rooms during the lockdown.
2) teaching them English for which she requires a poster (see highlighted content below) to be translated in different languages e.g. Farsi, Kurdish Sorani, Somali, Russian
‘English Classes!

Lessons will be held each Wednesday evening at a venue 20 minutes walk from the hotel. Each lesson will take place for one hour.

These classes will be fun, informal sessions with your friends from Care4Calais. This is not college and no formal qualifications will be received from attending.

Please e-mail us your name and phone number, if you would like to join a class:

Care4calaisbedfordshire@yahoo.com

Or message ‘Care4calais Bedfordshire’ on Facebook.’

Can you help please? If you are unable to, do you know someone who can help with these requests please?
If yes, we’d be extremely grateful if you can please call/email Revd Jo Burke (07957 385691 / allsaintscurate@gmail.com).
Many thanks and look forward to hear from you. If you are able to donate books, we can collect the books from you.
With best wishes,
David Jonathan (Johny)
