The job:                    Children and Families Minister (non ordained)

The location:           Harpenden United Reformed Church – an open and welcoming Church (Child Friendly Church Award).

The contract:           Long term project (5 years in first instance).  Initial review after 6 months.

Salary:                       circa £20,000 per annum for 25 hours a week. (£30kpa pro rata)

Flexible hours, to suit personal circumstances but to include some weekend commitment as required.

You will be:

  • An enthusiastic Christian with a passion for working with our Church and our associated children and their families.
  • Able to share the Good News with a light touch in creative and innovative ways.
  • Able to inspire, engage and communicate with (young) people of all ages, those with an established faith and those yet to wonder what it is all about.

The work:                 This pioneering new role is to assist the Church with the support of its leadership to develop wide ranging contacts with children, and young people within the Harpenden area and in reaching out to them it is hoped that we will lead children and their families to faith, to take part in worship and activities and to become part of our Church community.
