Engaging Young Refugees: A FREE equipping day for anyone interested in working with young refugees in Luton!
Youthscape, along with Church Response For RefugeesPremier Youthwork, and Refugee Support Network are excited to announce Engaging Young Refugees: An Equipping Day for Youth Workers, and those working with young people. 
It is a day of training for those wanting to engage with young refugees and unaccompanied minors in their community.
Interactive content including:
  • Overview of refugee resettlement vs asylum system
  • Life as a young refugee in the UK
  • Education as hope of the future
  • Mental Health of Young Refugees
  • Reaching out to refugees and asylum seekers
  • Safeguarding young refugees and asylum seekers
Date: Thursday, 23 March 2017
Time: 1:00pm – 4:30pm
The event will be taking place at locations in the following cities via a livestream from Youthscape’s Centre in Luton:

  • Yorkshire – e:merge, Bradford
During each workshop you will have the opportunity to text in your questions and comments, as well as discuss with others in the room about the challenges that youth workers in your local community may face, and get feedback from the workshop leaders in Luton.
