FACES is something CTL supports – several of our executive committee are founder members.

FACES (Faiths Against Child Sexual Exploitation) is a growing interfaith project in Luton that is committed to challenging Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE). We held our launch conference in July 2016, asserting our responsibility to speak up and our

confidence that we could be part of the solution. There have been many exciting developments since!

We are pleased to invite you to attend our upcoming conference, headlined “#FACEit.” The aim of this conference is to raise awareness about our recent work, inform participants about the realities of CSE in Luton and invite partnerships that will

help develop and mobilise our aims.

The event details are as follows:

Thursday 15th March 4.00pm – 7.00pm at Venue Central, Britannia

Estates, Leagrave Road, Luton, LU3 1RJ.

Our keynote speaker for this event will be ex-sexual health worker Sara Rowbotham (the BBC series Three Girls was based on her reports), who will bring important insights from her experience in Rochdale and on the need to break the silence on the

uncomfortable issue of CSE.

We will be sharing the findings of a survey conducted with faith communities in Luton, on perceptions of the issue, and what needs to be done locally. We will also hear a testimony from a survivor of the abuse.

The timing of our conference precedes the CSE national awareness day on 18th March and will provide opportunities to network, learn, participate and contribute to our work. Please RSVP to operator.faces@gmail.com to reserve your place for the

event, as this will be by special invitation only with limited seating.

We look forward to seeing you and thank you in advance for your support and interest.
