Terrence Higgins Trust has opened a new office in Luton to promotes awareness and provide support for people living with HIV as well as to encourage better management and prevent onward transmission of HIV. As part of this remit Terrence Higgins Trust will be offering a number of free courses for people working in and supporting the local community to develop community awareness and understanding of HIV.
The HIV Awareness course will be held on 9.30 – 1pm, 30th March 2018 and will open to people working/volunteering within the faith community to develop learning and understanding of the condition including recent development for treatment for HIV and the prevention of HIV. The course will work to help community leaders to be knowledgeable and supportive for both people living with HIV or people who need to be tested, understand the referrals pathways both locally and nationally for testing and managing HIV. All attendees will receive a certificate of attendance.
