There will be some meetings open to public to come and discuss concerns around knife crime at various locations as a pilot initiative supported by Beds Police.
The meetings will be around 90 minutes and facilitated by Roseann Taylor. Roseann’s son was murdered last year and was on the programme ’24 hours in police in custody’ and various other programmes highlighting the impact of knife crime.
One session will be at Hope Church in order to engage members from the Christian community and their concerns around knife crimes in our town. Hopefully, discussions from the sessions will help us shape a community response but also help widen the understanding of the police from a community perceptive around this matter.
