Fairtrade Fortnight 24th Feb – 8th March

To continue celebrating Luton’s Fairtrade Town status, Fairtrade Fortnight 24th Feb – 8th Mar 2020 is a great time to make or renew our commitment to Fairtrade, pledging to buy and use Fairtrade products in our work places and in our individual households.
What is Fairtrade?
Fairtrade isn’t Charity – It is Justice.
To give people what they deserve – Support Fairtrade please!
Fairtrade helps disadvantaged farmers and communities in developing countries.
It guarantees them a fair price for their produce.
It pays them an additional premium, with which they access education, healthcare, and sustainable farming methods.
Wherever you see the Fairtrade logo, you can be assured that disadvantaged producers and their communities have received a better deal.
So, please remember
Fairtrade isn’t Charity – It is Justice.
To give people what they deserve – Support Fairtrade please!
Buy products with Fairtrade Logo as seen in the circular attached – teas, coffees, sugar, fruit, biscuits and chocolate are all widely available in most supermarkets.
By simply substituting your ‘usual brand’ for a Fairtrade product, you will support over 7 million people in 59 developing countries.
Thank you for your support.
With best wishes,
David Jonathan (Johny)
