Have you decided to fast for Lent? If that seems a bit heavy duty, what are you giving up? Whatever, we can thank God we had a choice because many in Luton don’t.
Short term crisis visits will bring hundreds of them to Luton Fooobank in coming weeks.
Over the past six months the number of people and families we have been helping has been climbing steadily. After the Christmas campaign the shelves were groaning and we thought we’d have to raise the roof. But now the gaps are growing bigger every week. We are hugely grateful for the result of that campaign, for the food that comes at supermarket collections, for the huge support this year from Luton Town FC as we are their charity of the year, and for everything we receive.
Can we please ask you to help us once again? This time with financial help. As well as our day to day running costs, we sometimes need money to buy the food items that we are short of.
Would you aim to set aside 40p for 40 days and then donating at lutonfoodbank.org.uk/40
