Mark Palmer available for comedy night outreach events

I wonder if you’d  fancy having Mark Palmer for comedy night as an outreach event? It works particularly well as an Alpha (or similar) invitational but it could be just good clean fun for the community. He’s got a few gaps up until late September and plenty of availability from late November onwards.

If you fancy someone different – I also work with Paul Kerensa, Tony Vino and Andy Kind.

For 12 years Mark Palmer built up a reputation as one of South Africa’s most in demand comedians for three main reasons, being “Clean, classy and clever” (Cape Argus). Before moving to the UK in 2012, Mark was known as the only 100% “clean” stand-up comic in SA and regularly featured in South Africa’s leading Christian magazine ‘Joy’. Since then he’s become a firm favourite here in the UK on the comedy circuit, in churches and at Christian festivals, conferences and events. Mark has also gigged at Prague Comedy Festival, on Malta, in Belgium, Ireland and on board too many international cruise ships to mention.

His smart, sometimes loud and often opinionated brand of comedy has made him an audience favourite wherever he performs. As Jerry Seinfeld said, “Funny is funny. Clean humour, if it’s good, works anywhere.” It doesn’t matter that Mark Palmer happens to be clean. He’s funny. And funny is the thing that matters when you’re watching a comedian. And having a comedian that is both clean and funny is a rare thing. But you are thinking it must be difficult to work clean all the time, right? “Clean comedy is easy. Funny comedy is hard.” Mark is both.

‘We’ve loved working with Mark Palmer here at The Free. Mark is current, engaging, honest and above all very funny! He’s been able to have people of ages doubled up laughing, showing that rare thing, that Christians can have a sense of humour’ Mark Massey, Pastor at Frinton Free Church, Essex

“We have booked Mark a couple of times for our comedy events, he’s that good. He has a great way of engaging the audience and building a connection with each member. For those people who think you can’t appeal to a ‘church’ audience and be funny. Mark blows this principle out of the water. Would definitely recommend him. He is a gentlemen and easy going when you book him.” Andy Mitchell, Vineyard Comedy Zone, West Auckland Vineyard Church, County Durham

“Our church runs an Arts Cafe every month and has done for the last two years. Out of the 24 acts booked, Mark was one of the best. He’s funny, relevant and clean and engages an audience with his stories on life and humorous reflections on the world. I can but highly commend him.” Rev Nathan Ward, Holy Trinity Chatham, Kent

“Just to say, he was brilliant; funny, classy and clean and much enjoyed by everyone there. Looking to book him again” Ian Hayes-Anderson, Community Pastor, New Hope Hampshire

“We had a great night thanks to Mark’s engaging style and manner. I’ve received nothing but positive feedback from all age groups; old, young, twenty something, Christians and non-Christians alike. It was great to laugh and hear continuous laughter throughout Mark’s presentation. Please pass on our thanks to Mark, for making the event so successful. I would certainly highly recommend him to anyone who wanted a good laugh from a good clean comedian.” Skip Read, Dorford Baptist Church, Dorset

“His routine was great and had everyone laughing in the aisles. There was something for everyone and his closing brief testimony was perfect. He really showed that Christians can be funny and have fun, it was a great outreach to the non-Christians in the audience.” Juliet Roberts, St Peter and St Paul Tonbridge
