Prayer in Luton this week

– there are 3 ALPHA COURSES (that we know of) happening in Luton (online) at the moment . Continue to pray for a hunger for Jesus and for Jesus to reveal himself to those who are searching.
COMMUNITY CHURCH  have spaces on their ONLINE Alpha course starting this Frida y5th Marh, 7:45 pm.I you know anyone who would benefit from joining an Alpha course, please contact Hilary Wood on

– the CLIMATE FOR CHANGE course happening Tuesdays during Lent, run by SBC and City Life, reflecting on and praying about what God is saying to us at this point in history about stewarding the earth well

– this season of LENT to be one where we are intentional about spending time with the Lord and drawing close to him

– for deep heart WORSHIP to arise, even in the middle of challenge and trials. For joy in the chaos, peace in the uncertainty and a hope that fixes our gaze on Jesus who is on the throne

– HUMILITY as we learn to live in increased unity and harmony. What does it look like for followers of Jesus, for church fellowships, to honour one another more highly than ourselves?

Climate for Change
You’re invited to a 5-week Lent course exploring issues around climate change, Christianity, and global justice. This is being run by members of Stopsley Baptist Church and City Life Church, and is free (on zoom).
Using resources created by the Australian Anglican Board of Mission, the course is an opportunity to pray about and reflect on what God is saying to us at this point in history.
The COVID 19 pandemic has created a climate for change. It has laid bare inequality and provided a dress rehearsal for what awaits if we fail to address Climate Change and cut our carbon emissions. Our hope lies in the knowledge that God has not abandoned creation but rather has called us all to help restore and respect it.
Tuesdays in March from 8-930pm.
If you miss the first week, do still join! Contact to sign up.”
Rendevous happens every Sunday evening, This week Steve will be joined by Rachel Hopkins on SUNDAY 28th FEBRUARY, 6 pm – 6:45 pm.
It might be good to see what she has to say, so we know how better to pray for our town. You can join in with Rendevous every week on the Stopsley Baptist Church You Tube channel or on their Facebook Page.
