Thank you for standing with us in praying for Luton.
The church in Luton got together for an amazing celebration of Pentecost yesterday. It was also a celebration of the FRESH mission and the various ways the church was a visible presence and blessing to Luton this weekend.
The challenge for the days ahead is clear: will we be characterised by Love, empowered by the Spirit, to be as Jesus would have been if he were in Luton?
“… how often have I longed to gather your children together as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing.” (Matthew 23:37)
As Jesus’ heart broke for Jerusalem, is our heart breaking for Luton?
LET’S KEEP PRAYING
The 10 days before Pentecost, many of us joined in with Thy Kingdom Come – a national call to prayer from the Archbishop.
Now that drive is past, let’s not stop praying for our friends, family and neighbours to know Jesus. Let’s keep praying for a revelation of Jesus and a hunger for God. Let’s pray for an outpouring of God’s love.
Our NEXT PRAYER GATHERING is on Tuesday 5th June at 7:30 pm at Our Lady’s in Castle Street. We will be praying especially for the sick and those afflicted in mind and body. The prayer gathering will be preceded by a talk on dementia at 6 pm.
On 2nd July, 7:30 we’ll be with St Matthew’s in High Town.
See you then!
