This is a letter from Churches Together in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire – we have been invited to take part if you wish.
I am writing with a request from the Thy Kingdom Come Ecumenical Planning Group for Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.
Johnathan Lloyd from St Albans Abbey is working on a Pentecost Celebration with contributions from across the churches to be shared online on Pentecost Sunday, the 31st May at 6.30pm. As part of this video event he is asking for very short videos of people looking straight into a camera saying just one line, any one line from the Lords Prayer. He would like these in the traditional version(see below) and if people have a second language contributions are also welcome in that language too (although can they be sent with a translation please).
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Can these videos please be emailed directly to Jonathan at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please do check the Churches Together in Hertfordshire website for updates on Thy Kingdom Come and I will be in touch again with more information over the coming weeks.
Thank you so much for your support and I look forward to seeing many people from across Hertfordshire contribute towards this event from their homes and gardens.
With warm wishes
