Hate Crime Awareness Week

It is Hate Crime Awareness Week.

I would very grateful if you could forward this email to all your contacts and partners. We have physical copies of these posters and leaflets at Halsey Road Police Station, Bedford and at Luton Police Station. It is our hope that these posters can be shared within all the town centres, bus stations, train stations, shopping centres, community centres, hospitals, libraries and faith locations around Bedfordshire – clearly, we need your help with this and so please do contact the Community Cohesion Team and we will ensure we get these posters to you. I will also share on WhatsApp for onward circulation.

For this to have an impact we need the community to share our message that there is no place for hate in Bedfordshire and amplify our voice and extend our reach. We need our community leaders to support and encourage their communities to report hate crime to us.

This week we are returning to the schools who took part in our competition and awarding them certificates of commendation in recognition of their amazing work and their understanding of what makes a cohesive community – respect, inclusion and standing together.

Thank you.
