Are you interested in Criminal Justice and Rehabilitation?

Circles Southeast are looking for volunteers to work alongside professional agencies to support people who have a history of offending behaviour.

The aim is to aid rehabilitation, which in turn will keep our communities safer.

The role of the volunteer will be to form a ‘Circle of Support and Accountability’ around a high-risk offender (known as the Core Member) living in, or due to be released into the community.

A Circle provides a structured support network to the Core Member whilst holding them accountable for their behaviour.

The Circle works in close partnership with the statutory agencies and is managed by a trained professional known as the Circle Coordinator

Volunteers will gain extensive training as well as learning valuable skills in working with challenging behaviours, communication, effective observations, professional boundaries and modelling pro social behaviours. It can also provide a sense of achievement in being able to be part of providing a safer community in your local area.

The training commitment will be 2 half days online and a full day in person. Once this is completed the time commitment will be roughly an hour and a half each week for 12 months.
