Grassroots Annual Report

It is a great joy to share our Annual Report Sep 2023 – Aug 2024 with you.

According to a well-wisher’s feedback, it is an effective combination of words and images that brings to life the issues and work of Grassroots in Luton.

This year, we witnessed a change in government in the UK. We have felt even more tensions on the world scene. Our religious, secular, political and financial institutions are seemingly beset with devastating challenges, issues and problems.

In such challenging times, it is humbling that despite limited staff & funding, our activities brought people & communities together to recognise and celebrate the many acts of kindness we see around us in these trying times. These are signs of hope for a more compassionate, equitable, and tranquil world where everyone can prosper.

We take this opportunity to thank all our volunteers, trustees, partners, friends and well-wishers like you for your unwavering encouragement and support.

The Fairtrade Foundation celebrated 30 years this year. The Foundation’s celebration theme was ‘Be the Change’. May we all feel encouraged to ‘be the change’ for justice, peace, and fairness for everyone on the planet.

And in the New Year, may we all be sustained by the hope that the Christmas message brings – peace on earth & goodwill toward humanity.
