We are a large Cat C prison and in the next two years will be the largest prison in the country. We have male prisoners who come to faith who are then placed in Luton in Approved Premises or private accommodation. However no Luton church has signed up to the Welcome Directory to welcome ex-prisoners. The Welcome Directory is a national directory where we can direct people to go when leaving prison. Often they will have done a course of Christian study in prison such as the Alpha course, Bible Study, Dad’s course or a victim awareness course. We would love some Luton churches to sign up. Its an easy process with a zoom training in an evening and you need one named person as a welcoming contact. Please can you pass this around to your churches to see if anyone will join (its free of course). We would love our prisoners to continue their discipleship journey outside of prison and hope you can assist.
