These terms cover the use of lutonchurchestogether.co.uk. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

Who we are

This website is run by Churches Together in Luton, an unincorporated association of churches working together across the town. It is run by volunteers drawn from those churches. Contact us through the contact page, or write to Sue Penn, Secretary, at ctl_admin@tiscali.co.uk.

What the site is for

The site carries a directory of churches in Luton, a directory of partner organisations, events, news, and a way to ask for prayer. It is offered as a signpost. Details are given in good faith and we correct them as soon as we know they are wrong, but we cannot promise that everything is current at the moment you read it.

Directory listings

Entries are supplied by the churches and organisations themselves, or compiled from what they publish. Service times change, contacts move on, and organisations do not always tell us. Check with the church or organisation before travelling.

A listing is a signpost, not an endorsement of everything that church or organisation does or believes. Organisations are listed at the discretion of the Executive Committee, and can be removed at the same discretion. If an entry is wrong, tell us and we will put it right.

Prayer requests

Prayer requests are read by a small prayer team and kept in confidence. This is not a crisis service, a counselling service or a reporting route, and nobody watches it around the clock.

Accounts

Some people have accounts so they can keep listings and events up to date. If you have one, keep your password to yourself and tell us straight away if you think someone else has it. You are responsible for what is done through your account. Only submit content you have the right to submit. We can suspend or remove an account where these terms are broken.

Acceptable use

• Do not use the site for anything unlawful, or to harass, threaten or mislead anyone
• Do not upload anything that infringes the copyright of someone else or breaches their privacy
• Do not attempt to gain access to any part of the site you are not meant to reach, or to disrupt it
• Do not harvest the directory for marketing, whether by hand or by software

Content and copyright

The words, images and design on this site belong to Churches Together in Luton or are used with permission. The software behind the site is used under licence. You are welcome to link to any page, and to quote a sensible amount with credit. Copying the directory wholesale, or reproducing pages as your own, is not permitted.

Links to other sites

We link to churches, organisations and other websites. We do not control them and we are not responsible for their content, their accuracy or what they do with your information.

Availability

The site is maintained by volunteers. We aim to keep it running and current, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors, and we may change or withdraw any part of it.

Giving

Donations made through this site are voluntary gifts and are not normally refundable. If you believe a payment has been taken in error, contact us and we will look into it. A Gift Aid declaration can only be made if you are a UK taxpayer and the declaration you tick is accurate.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Beyond that, and so far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from the use of this site or from reliance on information published here. Information about churches, organisations and events is provided for guidance and is not professional advice.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute falls to the courts of England and Wales.

We update this page from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
