Prayer

Ask us to pray with you

Whatever you are carrying, you do not have to carry it on your own. Send it to us and a small team of people from churches across Luton will pray for you. You do not need to go to church, believe the right things, or word it well.

What happens next

01 You tell us

Fill in the form below with as much or as little as you want to say. You can leave your name off entirely.

02 A small team prays

Your request goes to a named group of people from Luton churches who have agreed to keep what they read to themselves.

03 We get in touch, if you asked us to

If you would like someone to contact you, say so on the form and somebody will be in touch within a few days. If you would rather just be prayed for, that is what happens.

04 Then it is put away

Requests are reviewed and deleted after 12 months unless you have asked us to keep praying. Nothing is published, posted, or passed to anyone else.

What happens to what I write

This stays between you and the people praying

What you write is read by a small prayer team and nobody else. It is not published on this website, not put in a newsletter, not read out to a congregation, and not passed to any other organisation.

You choose whether you are named. You can send a request without giving your name at all, and if you do give it, you decide separately whether we may use it when we pray together.

  • You can stay anonymous Leave the name field empty. It still gets prayed for.
  • Contact is your choice Nobody rings, emails or visits unless you have asked them to.
  • You do not have to belong anywhere You do not need to go to a church, or to any church in particular.
  • It is not kept forever Requests are reviewed and then deleted after 12 months.
  • One thing we cannot promise If someone tells us a child or an adult is at risk of harm, we have to pass that on. That is the only exception, and it exists to keep people safe.

If you need help now, please do not wait for us

This form is read by volunteers and is not checked around the clock, so it is the wrong place to turn when something cannot wait.

If you or someone else is in danger, call 999. If life feels unbearable and you need to talk to somebody tonight, Samaritans answer at any hour on 116 123, free, from any phone. For urgent health advice that is not an emergency, call 111.

We will still pray for you. Please just get help first.

Step 1 of 5

What would you like us to pray for?

There is no right way to write this. A sentence is enough, and nobody will judge the wording.

This form is read by volunteers and is not checked around the clock. If you or someone else is in danger call 999, and if you need to talk to somebody tonight Samaritans answer at any hour on 116 123.
0 characters Please leave out other people's medical details, or anything they would not want written down.
Roughly what is it about? Optional

Nothing is sent until the last step.

Thank you
