GRASSROOTS Luton has been shortlisted for the National Diversity Awards 2026 

GRASSROOTS Luton has been shortlisted for the National Diversity Awards 2026 in the Community Organisation Award for Race, Religion & Faith category, recognising its long-standing contribution to building understanding, peace and stronger relationships across Luton’s diverse communities.

Ahead of the national awards ceremony, expected to take place in September 2026, Revd Phil Horner, Chair, and David Jonathan (Johny), Director, GRASSROOTS Luton were invited to attend the National Diversity Awards Shortlist Showcase Event: Celebrating 15 Years of Impact, held in Birmingham on 16 July.

Winners will be announced at the 2026 awards ceremony in September.

In congratulating those shortlisted, the organisers said, “Even if you don’t win the Award, the fact that you have been shortlisted from over 80,000 nominations and votes received for the National Diversity Awards this year, is a significant achievement in itself. We are absolutely amazed by this incredible response. A huge congratulations to all of the inspiring nominees, particularly those who have been shortlisted, and a heartfelt thank you to every single person who took the time to recognise and celebrate those making a difference.”
