Dear All,
You may remember that we delivered the Faith Leaders’ Kite Mark Training with RE Hub on 7th February. Some of you were unable to attend and requested another opportunity.
We are happy to announce that following the success of the last event, we are offering another round of this training with RE Hub and Feast on 16th May, 9:30am – 2:00pm.
You are welcome to invite others from your community to help widen the circle of understanding and shared learning. You are also welcome to attend the training again if you feel it would be helpful, though priority will be given to the first-time participants.
The RE Hubs Kitemark is an accreditation for individuals and organizations providing Religious Education (RE), Religion, Values and Ethics (RVE), or Religion & Worldviews (R&W) support to schools in the UK. It ensures that speakers, places of worship, and resource providers meet high-quality, safe, and educational standards.
Key benefits of the Kitemark for schools and providers include:
For Providers (Speakers, Venues, Organisations)
Accreditation of Standards: Acknowledges exceptional efforts in engaging with local school children.
Free Training: Access to training sessions that cover aspects of safeguarding, effective communication, and setting up sessions that meet school needs.
Improved School Relationships: Builds trust with educators, making it easier to engage in partnerships.
Revalidation: The accreditation lasts for two years, with free refresher training available to ensure up-to-date knowledge.
For Schools and Teachers
Assured Quality & Safety: Kitemarked speakers are trained to work effectively with pupils, adhering to school safeguarding policies.
Educational Focus: Assures that visitors or resources will fulfil specific educational aims and curriculum requirements rather than attempting to convert pupils.
Neutrality and Respect: Providers agree to share beliefs and practices respectfully without generalizing or promoting a single view.
Access to Verified Resources: Helps teachers confidently find reliable, high-quality, and vetted visitors or places of interest.
The RE Hubs Kitemark is designed to foster a safe, educational, and engaging environment for teaching about religious and non-religious worldviews.
